2027 marks 30 years of being in Five Dock and I would like to do a charity Black Shirt fight night with guest appearances or seminars from other training and services that we have had here. For example these may include Boxing, Karate, Kickboxing, Kids MMA, Pilates, Sword, Yoga, Kinesiology, MyoFascial therapy, Performance under pressure, special needs and NDIS students and Parkinsons classes.
Hopefully celebrity boxing stars such as Jeff Fenech, Sam Goodman and Kaye Scott will be in attendance.
I am making an offer for those students who did not achieve Black Shirt to return to training to achieve and Black Shirts to come back and do their Gold Shirt https://joesboxing.com.au/your-opportunity-to-get-your-black-shirt-at-our-30th-anniversary-july-2027/. If this interests you please email me at joe@joesboxing.com.au or text/call on 018 217 244.
The idea will be to raise funds for my Bourke outreach talent-id program and also a local charity called “touched by olivia” https://www.touchedbyolivia.com.au/
This will be a shamelessly commercial affair where we will produce a t-shirt with sponsors emblazoned and all the favourite sayings such as “show up and Shut up” and “get the stick out Joe” , a history of Joe’s Boxing book inclduing stories from students and auction off Boxing Memorabilia and experiences and anything this else that will raise a buck so get ready to empty your wallets please ! We will have a variety of seminars including Boxing, Self Defence and Performance under Pressure, Pilates and Sword depending on demand.
The good news though is that the event itself including the seminars will be free entry. However the expectation is that people attending spend some money on raffles, tshirts or auctions. An indicative spend would be if you come to one event $50 with $150 – $200 being a reasonable spend for the whole weekend. A $200 spend or donation will garner you a VIP wristband which you can then wave at the raffle ticket hawkers that you have paid enough and they can leave you alone.
So if you can help, donate or attend whatever era you fit into please come and bring rich friends too!
