Hire Joe's Boxing Studio for Film and Photo Shoots
We regularly receive inquiries for film and photo shoots and occasionally for fighting talent needed to feature in them. We accommodate these requests wherever possible provided they do not interfere too much with our normal training schedule.
The boxing studio is a perfect location for film and photo shoots, TV series, Advertisements, or Music Videos, and features in a bunch of Tropfest Film Festival entries. Facilities include a competition-size boxing ring, polished wooden floors, high ceilings, and tons of natural light. We can arrange a site visit pre-shoot but ask that you please respect the studio, equipment, students, and teachers while you are on the premises.
Our 2025-2026 price guide hire is: (minimum $2000 for photo and film shoots regardless of time booked)
- Off-peak: All day Monday till 5pm, Friday, & Sunday all day- $2000 + GST
- Peak: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday – $3000 + GST
*Please note that if say a film shoot was to shut down our training for more than a week I would expect that the day rate would increase to $5000 or more depending on length of shoot as the impact would be quite significant
Payment can be made by EFTPOS on the day or within 30 days of the shoot. I have had more than 100 film and photoshoots here in the nearly 30 years we have been here. They are disruptive and you are only likely to be here once and I have students that have been with me for 10-15 years so my priority is my students who even individually are worth more than a single photoshoot. I have steadily increased my prices as I want to keep the product scarce now as I think I am the last ‘authentic’ looking boxing gym in Sydney so more value for those who actually choose to feature the studio. I have done my share of charity or supporting art shoots but I’m afraid it would have to be a very compelling story now for me to be interested.
