When I was travelling in France in 2023 I met a Neuroscientist Dr Thomas Trautmann who helped me develop my ideas regarding rational and primal brain and how peripheral vision relates to them both and how self defense of which my famous Johannesberg experience played into.

In addition he talked about how in our lives we belong to many tribes. One we may be the leader of but many we are just happy to belong to enhance our lives as a social being. So although we may have started here to enhance our fitness and skills, mostly we stay because we belong to the tribe.
Some stay for a short time and move on to other things and some will stay to black shirt and tick that bucket and others stay for a long time and have Joe’s as their second home competing and more often coaching and although I am the leader of this tribe these are my lieutenants and are critical to the culture and the club well-being.
As we mature I am more inclined to want people to join our tribe and be part of our culture and reap the benefits but also be responsible for keeping the club going. My part has been owning the property where we train and living mostly upstairs with Jacky and Ronda. This has helped keep costs low and by providing all the gear you need to train here and not trying to hoik merchandise or magic potients to my students means apart from your shirt promotions which is barely the cost of your T-shirt, your membership fees are all your obligation here requires.
Recently I changed my policy to no longer have a pause clause policy meaning I am no longer willing to pay for your holiday by exempting you from paying fees while you are away. This applies to all ages apart from 7-9 year old classes who pay casually anyway. As far as kids or teens go I look at us as the private school of boxing and I well know what private schools demand of their students and parents. My fees may not be the cheapest out there but we are nowhere near the most expensive even compared to other boxing clubs let alone other sports and if the program is followed I can almost guarentee skilss that will last a lifetime.
If you must give 28 days notice and terminate the membership but you are not guaranteed a return acceptance and the fee will rise to whatever the list rate is when you rejoin. The only exception is black shirts who can come and go on 28 days notice and will stay on the rate they were last on.
Holds for medical reasons accompanied by a medical certificate will be accepted however does not bypass 28 days for termination of membership.
